This is because of the LowMemoryKiller of Android system. When you run some applications which use much memory such as browser and/or video player, the system will kill some background applications to save the memory for the foreground application. When you return from those applications to Espier Launcher, Espier Launcher needs to restart. Therefore, the launcher will lag. To solve this problem, please set Espier Launcher as the default home app and restart your system.
First, tap the Settings app on the home screen of the current launcher (You can also get the entry to Settings app by press MENU button). Second, find and enter into Applications (or Apps) entry. In the subsequent screen, find your current default launcher (e.g., Espier Launcher) and tap it. You will get a screen which contains some options for the default launcher. Then you can tap “Clear defaults” option. After this, when you press HOME button, the system will prompt you an app list which contains all launchers installed on your system. Now you can change the default launcher to be the stock one.
On any icon page of Espier Launcher (iOS7), you can use the pinch-out gesture to enter the hidden screen to show the hidden icons. If you turn off “No Lock for Hidden Icons” switcher in Lock Mode screen in Preferences -> Hiding & Locking Icon, you will be asked to enter the passcode to access the hidden icons.
Tap Espier Hub -> Preferences -> Icon Layout and Font. In the subsequent screen, you can change the icon size, the number of icon rows/columns, font size and the title color. After changed them, you can tap the Done on the header of this screen to apply your changes. Note that there is Best Fit option in Icon Size screen. This option will give you the best icon size according to your icon layout settings. In the most cases, you should use Best Fit option.
Under Pad mode, Espier Launcher (iOS7) does not provide to change the icon layout. Because under Pad mode, the launcher will show the icons in portrait and landscape, this prevents implementing of the different icon layouts. Therefore, under Pad mode, the launcher only supports five columns with four rows in landscape and four columns with five rows in portrait. Besides this, Pad mode only works when your screen resolution is larger than 640x480.
You need to install and setup Espier Notifications (iOS7) to show the clear status bar. In the Settings page of Espier Notifications (iOS7), enable Espier Notifications (iOS7) service in your system’s Accessibility and turn on Clear Status Bar switcher.
You need to install and setup Espier Notifications (iOS7) properly to show the app icon badges. First, in the Settings page of Espier Notifications (iOS7), enable Espier Notifications (iOS7) service in your system’s Accessibility. Second, put your app to be in notification center of Espier Notifications (iOS7), and enable Badge App Icon switcher for the app.
This is because some apps (for example, WhatsApp) send the notifications as Android remote views and no any text. Under these cases, Espier Notifications (iOS7) can not get the content of the notifications and broadcast the new notifications to other Espier apps, including Espier Screen Locker (iOS7) and Espier Launcher (iOS7). To resolve this issue, you can enable Alert for status change switcher in the notification center for the specific app. After this, when Espier Notifications (iOS7) found there was a change in the remote view of the notification of the app, it will generate an alert and broadcast it to other Espier apps. The badge will work.
Espier Launcher (iOS7) provides support for widgets. However, you can not show widgets on app icon pages. You should first to set the widget mode in Preferences -> Widget Pages. You can choose to show the widget pages in Double Deck, Single Deck, or Single Page. After this, press MENU button and choose Add item. You can add a widget or a shortcut to the current widget page. Note that you need to get an extra license to support widget page if you are using Espier Launcher iOS7.
Espier Launcher (iOS7) can run in Pad mode automatically when your device is a pad. However, if you device is not a well-known Android pad (tablet), the launcher will run Phone mode. You can tap Espier Hub -> Preferences -> Advance, and then change the device mode to be Pad mode manually. If the launcher still can not show in landscape on your device, please make sure that you enabled Auto-rotate screen switcher in your system’s Settings app.
This is because of the LowMemoryKiller of Android system. When you run some apps which use much memory such as a browser and/or a video player, the system will kill some background apps to save the memory for the foreground app. When you return from those apps to Espier Launcher (iOS7), the launcher needs to restart. Therefore, the launcher will lag. To solve this problem, we have tried our best to reduce the memory usage of the launcher, but it still lags under some extreme cases. Therefore, we recommend that: first, set Espier Launcher (iOS7) as the default launcher; second, kill some background apps in time; third, restart your system periodically (every one day or two days).
On some customized Android system (for example, MIUI V5), this issue may occur. In this case, you need to install and setup Espier Notifications (iOS7) properly, and turn on Full Screen option in Preferences -> Advanced of the launcher. After this, the launcher will show in full screen. This will avoid the overlap of the clear status bar and the system stock status bar, and hide SmartBar or the virtual key bar on some systems when the launcher is showed.
